Coffee is one of my favorite times of the day; whether it’s the first glorious, necessary cup of the morning that lets me take a few minutes and focus my thoughts or a cup being enjoyed across the table from a friend, letting us catch up and talk about life. Coffee plays a pretty serious roll in my life, so let’s pretend we’re catching up over a mug of Coffee.

I’ve been away from writing, truly writing and not just putting up a review or fluff piece, for a while now and I miss it. I’ve stopped browsing and being active on social media too and there is really is no explanation. One day I just stopped and I haven’t started again. In some ways it’s been freeing, living life without the need to document or feeling the need to make a record of events but it’s also been something I’ve missed. Not writing my thoughts and feelings sometimes makes me feel disconnected from others and more importantly, myself. So here we go…!
I was thinking and wondering, if there is anything to write about life and the past few years of being away from blogging, what could that be?
Could not recall anything but the “rat race” that all of us go through- The humorous term for how we relentlessly run on the endless treadmill of working, dealing transactions, running to and fro fulfilling family obligations and social responsibilities and ending up exhausted, only to do it again the next day.
We typically scurry around day to day, month to month and year to year, living life as if it has no end. Occasionally, though, we slowdown from the maddening quest for “success”—pursuing money, love, fame, power … whatever—and ask ourselves some of the most profound questions in life: Why am I here? Is there more to life than just acquiring “stuff” or doing things? What is the meaning of life? Is there a reason, a purpose, to this existence?
Surely there must be some deeper significance to life other than running the rat race in a wearisome effort to get or achieve something before it ends!
I am travelling miles internally exploring the purpose and I am sure of you are also in that Journey, my friends. Good luck for your exploring...! J But don’t stop running, forget not that it’s the RACE J
